Lahore Astronomical Society conducted a lunar observation in collaboration with Smart Learning Institute at ZICAS School, Mustafa Town, Lahore.
The observation was preceded by a primer on LAST by Event Manager, Mr. Alpha Bhatti and an intro to Astronomy by Vice President, Mr. Roshaan Bukhari.
Kids and adults and even Police (Dolphin and others) were seeing Moon for the first time. Kids were very happy to see the cratered surface. Some teaching staff expressed their amazement in expressions like ‘Subhanallah’.
We thank the President of LAST, Mr. Umair Asim for allowing us to use the 10” dobsonian telescope for this event.
